The Study Support Centre is a self-access learning facility located on the first floor of the British Council's Amman teaching centre.

As well as internet access with direct links to a range of online resources, the Study Support Centre provides members with access to a range of English language learning and exam preparation materials. Its collection includes: graded readers (stories adapted for different levels of English), course books, dictionaries, books focussing on specific language areas (vocabulary/grammar) and skills (reading/listening/writing), and practice tests for IELTS and Cambridge English Language Assessment Exams. Members can consult books and work in the Study Support Centre or borrow them to use at home.

The role of the Study Support Officer is to provide a counselling service for members and to give students information about extra curricular events such as: Quiz Nights, Conversation Clubs, UK Talks, Skills Workshops and Young Learner Storytelling Sessions.

  • The annual membership fee for teaching centre students is JD 10.
  • The annual membership fee for adult memberships (non-students) is JD15.

Please note that children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
